Gaza — Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) kembali menyalurkan bantuan kemanusiaan kepada warga Gaza saat ini terdampak krisis dan terus memburuk akibat blokade penjajah Israel. 

Pada 9 Juni 2025,  sebanyak 185 paket makanan dibagikan kepada masyarakat Gaza yang tengah menghadapi kelaparan akut. 

Bantuan yang diberikan berupa bahan makanan pokok seperti sayuran, pasta, beras, dan tepung, komoditas yang saat ini sangat dibutuhkan oleh warga Gaza. Paket-paket tersebut diperkirakan cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi satu keluarga yang terdiri dari lima orang dewasa selama lima hari.

Mengingat pendistribusian bantuan makanan yang cukup sulit, bantuan ini dibagikan langsung satu persatu kepada penerima yang sudah didata oleh relawan lokal MER-C di Gaza. Hal ini juga dilakukan untuk menghindari kerumunan. 

Dari total 185 paket makanan, sebanyak 100 paket didistribusikan ke wilayah Gaza utara. Sementara itu, 85 paket lainnya disalurkan ke wilayah selatan, tepatnya di Klinik Al Aqsha B, Al Mawasi, Khan Younis, yang sampai saat ini operasionalnya didukungan oleh MER-C.

Ketua Presidium MER-C Indonesia, dr. Hadiki Habib, menyatakan bahwa pembagian ini merupakan tahap awal dari program food aid yang akan terus disalurkan MER-C di Gaza. 

“Ini adalah langkah awal dari program bantuan pangan MER-C. Ke depan, akan dilakukan distribusi dengan jumlah yang lebih besar dan secara bertahap, dengan tetap mengutamakan keamanan,” ujarnya.

Program bantuan pangan ini merupakan salah satu upaya MER-C untuk meringankan beban masyarakat Gaza yang kian hari terus memburuk akibat blokade dan agresi berkepanjangan. 

MER-C juga berkomitmen untuk terus mendukung dan membantu kebutuhan dasar warga melalui kehadiran langsung relawan di lapangan.

MER-C Distributes Food Packages to Gazans Amid Worsening Crisis

Gaza — The Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) has again distributed humanitarian aid to Gazans currently affected by the crisis and worsening due to the Israeli occupation blockade. 

On June 9, 2025, 185 food packages were distributed to the people of Gaza who are facing acute hunger. 

The assistance provided was in the form of basic foodstuffs such as vegetables, pasta, rice, and flour, commodities that are currently in great need by the people of Gaza. The packages are estimated to be sufficient to meet the consumption needs of a family of five adults for five days. 

Given the rather difficult distribution of food aid, this aid was distributed directly one by one to recipients who had been registered by local MER-C volunteers in Gaza. This was also done to avoid crowds. 

Of the total 185 food packages, 100 packages were distributed to the northern Gaza region. Meanwhile, 85 other packages were distributed to the southern region, precisely at the Al Aqsa B Clinic, Al Mawasi, Khan Younis, whose operations are currently supported by MER-C. 

Chairman of the MER-C Indonesia Presidium, dr. Hadiki Habib, stated that this distribution is the initial stage of the food aid program that will continue to be distributed by MER-C in Gaza. 

"This is the initial step of the MER-C food aid program. In the future, distribution will be carried out in larger quantities and in stages, while still prioritizing security," he said. 

This food aid program is one of MER-C's efforts to ease the burden on the people of Gaza, which is getting worse day by day due to the prolonged blockade and aggression. 

MER-C is also committed to continuing to support and assist the basic needs of residents through the direct presence of volunteers in the field.
