MER-C held Palestine Talkshow at Islamic Book Fair

Jakarta, 9/3, Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) held a Talkshow titled “Palestine as the Focus of Uniting the Struggle of Muslims “ at Islamic Book Fair at Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta. The event presented speakers ex- Indonesian Cooperative Minister and ICMI member, Mr. Adi Sasono and MER-C’s Presidium Dr Joserizal Jurnalis. An hour and half talkshow moderated by Angga Aminudin of Radio Silaturahim 720 am, discussing about the reason behind Palestine becoming the unity of Muslims Struggle in the world. Joserizal, as one of MER-C founders and pioneer of Rumah Sakit Indonesia at Gaza said that struggle for Palestinian liberation is the struggle of people who love peace and welfare of mankind. Furthermore, Joserizal added that Jerusalem liberation has also been supported by non-muslims like The Pope and Catholics, also the Jews who do not approve Israel Zionism. Meanwhile, Adi Sasono also mentioned about MER-C important role in building Indonesia Hospital at Gaza, Palestine, becoming the benchmark of justice and humanity in the world. He also added that the action marked a strong commitment from Indonesian people for Palestinian, mainly for Gaza people, that the struggle must keep going on and has been fully supported by Indonesian people from Sabang to Merauke. Joserizal explained that MER-C building such a hospital instead of worship house since it will be more beneficial to the people of Gaza. He then added that the hospital would need a sustainable program, skills of volunteers, hospital management and etcetera. Joserizal also uttered that the hospital building has been fully funded from Indonesian people, built by the spirit of Indonesian for Palestinian struggle for Independence The talkshow also presented AbdelRahim Shihab of Islamic Society of Gaza, a Palestinian, that he and Palestinian people showed their gratitude to Indonesian people for their support for all Palestinians. The event concluded with question-and-answer session and also taking picture between participants and the speakers.
Journalism Training with MER-C

Jakarta – In this era where every kind of information is always sought for, the ability to produce news becomes significant. Now everyone can write about anything, in which this style of writing is known as citizen journalism. With so many easily accessed social media, the types of news shared becomes wide and it might become too much done. This is why MER-C on Sunday 2 February 2014 organized a journalism training for its volunteers. Held in MER-C head office, Firtra Ratory shared his experience and knowledge in TV One as a free lancer journalist. Silvano Hajid from Kompas TV and Hery Alamsyah from MNC TV were also present to complement the event on that day. 15 participants were expected to always be able to deliver quality news and able to fulfill the basic concept of journalism, which are What, Who, Where, When, Why, and How.
MER-C Visits Indonesian Hospital Volunteers Families

Jakarta – December 17, 2013 MER-C medical team conducted medical check up to Indonesia Hospital volunteers families in Bogor and Cileungsi. The medical check- up had been done toward the families of Edi Siswanto, Sulis Diantoro, Muhammad Arshad Ridho, Suyitno, Edi Wahyudi, Muhammad Husain, and Muqorobin al Fikri. The team members that consisted of Dr. Tonggo Meaty Fransisca and surgical nurse Lina P Munaf Harun checking on blood pressure, glucose and uric acid of volunteer families. Apart from medical check-up, MER-C also gave a photo album containing volunteer pictures that have been building Indonesia Hospital in Gaza.

Lampung – November 19, 2013 MERC-C has dispatched a medical assistance teamtothe grand launchof onlineQur’anof Abdullah bin Masud in the village Muhajiroun, Negarabatu, Natar, Lampung.The team comprises of Dr Eko Zezky Triwahyudi, MARS and Dr. Habib Hadiki, where the team to examine the health of one member of the boarding school Al Fattah that has been diagnosed with Benign Prostatic Hiperlapsia. MER-C Presidium Ir Faried Talib, who presented at the inauguration of the Online Qur’an of Abdullah bin Masud, has joined the team to meet the families of Bukhari Muslim Sadeli and Syuhada Busyro. Both of them are MER-C’s volunteers from al Fattah boarding school which are currently finalizing the Indonesian Hospital construction project at Gaza, Palestine. The medical doctors also provided medical education at one of RSI volunteer’s place.
