The ongoing aggression and genocide in Palestine by Israeli military forces have prompted many individuals to take tangible actions to help the Palestinian people.

Dr. Billal Patel, a Cardiologist, Emin Poljarevic, an Associate Professor of Islamic Studies, and Bilal Buttar, an executive principal of an international Islamic school, all residing in Brunei Darussalam are planning a campaign to raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis in Palestine.

All donations will be directly channelled through MER-C Indonesia, an Indonesian NGO that has been active in the Gaza Strip for 14 years.

We, MER-C Indonesia, express our gratitude for every humanitarian endeavour dedicated to Gaza and Palestine.

Donations will be utilized for MER-C humanitarian aid programs in Gaza, including medicine, ready-to-eat food, winter equipment, etc.


Program Description

A Support Mission for People of Gaza: Raising Awareness and Funds

In December, our small diverse team, consisting of a cardiologist, an Islamic studies professor, and a school principal, will embark on a charity mission: climbing Mount Rinjani in Indonesia. Our mission is twofold: to support global awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and to raise funds for medical projects through a dedicated charity.

The situation in Gaza remains catastrophic, with the healthcare infrastructure destroyed and disabled. This includes the tragic loss of nearly 300 healthcare workers, the bombing of 22 hospitals, and attacks on well over 200 healthcare facilities. Our primary goal is to ensure the world continues to recognize the hardships faced by the people of Gaza.

Since October 7, 2023, more than 270 schools in Gaza have been damaged due to the conflict. Israeli occupation forces have targeted various civilian structures, resulting in the complete destruction of more than 62,000 housing units and partial damage to 170,000. Consequently, 1.9 million people are currently displaced from their homes. That’s over 90% of the total population of Gaza!

The intention here is to support medical projects through fundraising. We are collaborating with a charity renowned for its direct aid and effective implementation of medical projects in Gaza. This charity has been instrumental in providing care and rebuilding essential healthcare facilities, even amidst overwhelming challenges, such as the bombing and partial destruction of the Indonesian hospital.

By combining these objectives, we aim not only to provide tangible assistance but also to keep the spotlight on the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
